Villa
Michelle which dates back to the 17th
Century has been carefully restored with
immaculate attention to detail, with
original beamed ceilings, terracotta floors
and stone archways all being retained. Very
comfortably furnished, each room has its own
personality, all being decorated in a unique
manner with pastel coloured walls in the
bedrooms and many antique pieces and
interesting Tuscan artefacts creating a warm
and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
The living room on the ground floor of the
villa is particularly inviting, with stone
archways, comfortable sofas, a lovely
fireplace and satellite television. The eat
in kitchen is fully equipped with modern
appliances and has a large dining table and
chairs. Also on the ground floor are two
bedrooms, one with twin beds and ensuite
shower room which opens onto the terrace and
garden, and one with a double bed and there
are two more shower rooms.
On the first floor of the villa there are an
additional three bedrooms, one with double
bed and ensuite shower room and the other
two with twin beds, as well as a further
bathroom with hydro massage bath. Just off
the landing is also a handy games room with
card table and billiard table, and the
attentive owners have added air conditioning
in all of the bedrooms.
At the front of the house is a lovely
covered terrace furnished with table and
chairs for dining al fresco whilst enjoying
the view of the garden which is filled with
pots brimming with flowers and olive and
cypress trees. Steps lead from the garden
down to the lovely swimming pool (12m x 6m)
which is fully furnished with sun loungers
and is the perfect spot to relax.
Villa Michelle is excellently located in the
heart of Tuscany in the area between
Florence and Siena, yet the centre of the
pretty ancient hamlet of Vico d’Elsa is only
a short walk away and has a small grocers
shop, bar and a restaurant. Larger hilltops
towns such as San Gimignano and Certaldo are
less than half an hours’ drive away. |
