| Flaine | 6 | Not an attractive looking resort, but excellent history of snow conditions and perfect ski runs especially for intermediates. |
| Isola 2000 | 6 | The resort is close to the Riviera and offers good snow and sunshine. Good resort for beginners and intermediates. Mainly apartment blocks. |
| Megeve | 6 | Sophisticated resort town with many luxury hotels and shops. Horse-drawn sleigh. Very good skiing for beginners and intermediates. |
| Les Menuires | 8 | Unattractive purpose built resort, but who cares... the skiing is so good!!! (all levels) |
| Meribel | 8 | Meribel is part of the Trois Vallees ski domain. It is an attractive resort, with mountain chalets and Alpine atmosphere. It is very popular with British skiers. |
| La Plagne | 8 | Excellent skiing for all levels. The architecture is mainly wooden apartment blocks. |
| Tignes | 8 | A modern looking resort with apartment blocks. The skiing is excellent for intermediate and advanced skiiers. Huge ski domain. |
| 10 | This is one of the best resorts in France. Part of the "Espace Killy" ski domain. It is an attractive mountain town with traditional buildings. | |
| Valmorel | 6 | A nice looking resort, with a ski domain good for all levels of skiers. |
| Val Thorens | 8 | Europe's highest resort. Part of the giant Trois Vallees ski domain. Purpose built for winter sports, designed for active people. |
